Merry and Bright; where the shiny?

The Christmas decor is disappearing from the shelves, choices narrow significantly.  Not even through the first week of December and already you are probably too late with really decking up those halls.   And even with the full bounty of what the marketers insist we want, junk mostly abounds.  Have you noticed the lack of shine to the baubles and beads?   Plastic, slave labor goods.  They don’t reflect like beautiful, shiny glass.  Add as many lights as you want, nothing short of a security floodlight is going to show off the lusterless ornament.  Sad, so sad.

The Food and Booze are still good though.

Poinsettias, Trees, Hose

The tree goes outside. Cats. I don’t think that needs further explanation. So much cleaning up of outside. Chilly days and hosing off was not completely unpleasant with tunes from SomaFM’s Christmas Lounge.

The tree was bought.  Good old Douglas Fir.   The first day of December is actually a few minutes after midnight on the second day.  There is behind’ness going on.
